“Neurosis” is a personal illustration project now composed of 5 works but in continuos development. It is realized both in graphite and in ballpoint pen on paper then reworked and finished by digital painting in photoshop with graphic tablet. The project aims to explore psychological suffering as a cause and symptom of depression and self-harm. The aim is therefore to express an intangible mental suffering through physical pain. The subjects represented are tortured and mutilated men and women, placed in metal structures forcing their bodies to a partial or total immobility so that they cannot escape this state of everlasting pain.
